Back after Sept. 11th I was writing that we could expect the Middle East to become like the 1970s Central America…for those of you who don’t know what that means…I am referring to the US covert destabilization of the region via death squads, torture, kidnappings, etc…All of which having been coordinated through the American embassy in Honduras under the management of John Negroponte
OK. Negroponte became ambassador to Iraq, bringing his expertise to bear on that country, and his deputy was a man named Robert Stephen Ford…and at the moment, Robert Ford is the ambassador to Syria. His mission has been to promote the creation of fighting groups (not a single united opposition, it should be noted) And we can see, I think, his effectiveness. Just as Honduras was the central organizing point for militias in Latin America, it seems Iraq will be the central organizing point for spreading violence in the Arab world
Now, Ford is apparently set to become the next US ambassador to Egypt..we need to follow this so we can know what to expect. The fact that the US wants to transfer Ford’s skills to Egypt is a clear indication that they want to see Egypt collapse in violence and chaos.
The Muslim Brotherhood has a history of tremendous naivete in dealing with the US, so it is predictable that they will be manipulated by Ford and his crew to mount violence, believing the Americans support their “democratic legitimacy”..and it will just be a method for further destabilization and a means to destroy the Islamic Movement in Egypt. If the Ikhwan refuse this direction, without developing an effective alternative strategy, there will be efforts to radicalize the opposition by means of extreme brutality, and it is likely that Ford will organize new militias to beat the drum for civil war like in Syria.
