These guys just got caught in a big fight at a labor camp, someone died, and the police just grabbed whoever they could. No investigation.
According to UAE law, the courts are not even ALLOWED to issue a judgment in a murder case until the victim’s family is consulted and given the option to accept blood money in lieu of retaliation,but the family in this case was never contacted at all. There have been at least a dozen cases in recent years where Bangladeshi or Indian families have opted to accept blood money, so there is every reason to believe this case could be resolved in the same way.
No one has demanded the execution of these men, and it is illegal according to their own law for the UAE to do this!
