Shirk cultivates in its people qualities of materialism, classism, and obsequiousness to authority. It creates a people ripe for exploitation and manipulation. This is why we see that a recent study found that the most materialistic people in the world are the Chinese and the Indians. It is no accident that these two countries are also regarded as having the most horrendously exploited labor forces, the worst working conditions, the least degree of support for the poor, and so on. And, obviously, these two countries are renowned for being highly profitable for multinational corporations, both as sources of cheap labor, and as mindless consumers.
There is a direct confrontation between the interests of big business and any population with a strong Aqeedah based on Tawhid. This confrontation is playing out right now. The tactics of economic shock therapy perfected in the laboratory of Latin America in order to force neoliberal policies against the population are now being directed at us. In fact, it can be argued that these tactics were only developed and tested precisely so that they could be used to conquer our lands; the lands with the greatest natural resources in the world, and the lands with the strongest Aqeedah of Tawhid in the world. This is what is happening in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, and this is what is happening in Egypt, and this is why it is happening.
