Highly concentrated power, as is the case today, is an incredibly unstable and vulnerable model.
The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich studied the interconnections and ownership chains of 37 million companies worldwide and found that there are only 147 corporations at the top of that pyramid.
That is a tremendous level of concentration of control over a vast and intricate, interconnected web of interests. This is unsustainable. Disruption to such a system is too easy and can potentially have far-reaching impact.
That means, it is vulnerable to democratization.
