As long as State power is mobilized by the global corporate elite, and for their interests, it is irrelevant what form the state system takes, whether it be democratic or totalitarian, and it is irrelevant who the personnel are who carry out its functions. The head of state, and all branches of the state structure, including the judiciary, will, and only can, adhere to their institutional roles within the imperial system, subordinate to private power. If they fail to do so, they will be replaced. It makes very little sense to try to change the government when it is not sovereign.
