When you are in a fight with a man who is holding a knife, you can try to protect yourself by grabbing the blade with your hand…but it is a bad idea. If you are in a fight with a man who is holding a gun, you can try to make him shoot you so you can try to overtake him when he runs out of bullets…but again, not a good strategy.
There are a few things to keep in mind about the security forces in Egypt.
First of all, they exist to fight you. Their sole purpose is to keep you under control, and “under control” means, to keep you from interfering with the interests and agenda of the elite. Even if that just means keeping you busy.
Also bear in mind that their funding is a mechanism by which the US government channels money to business. This means any damage you inflict is essentially profitable for them, not loss.
Another point to remember is that, although they may behave as one, and serve the same purpose as one, the Egyptian security forces are not an invading, occupying army. They cannot be forced to pull out of the country.
If fighting them goes to its fullest extreme, that means civil war. Civil war means an exclusively Egyptian body count, and exclusively Egyptian destruction. It means both de-population and de-industrialization; social chaos and economic ruin. That does not pave the way to Islamic government, it paves the way to humiliation and slavery.
