It is a common mistake among activists in many places, in many struggles, to only utilize a preset menu of tactics, whether they be “hot” or “cold”.
But it is important to determine tactics based upon analysis of a specific target and aiming for a particular desired outcome. You can not charge into an action with a general toolbox of tactics, using them indiscriminately, and expect to get positive results.
