Unfortunately, most of the Isalmist parties do not address thems…

Posted on August 6, 2014 by Shahid Bolsen

Unfortunately, most of the Isalmist parties do not address themselves to the ramifications of corporate imperialism. Either they ignore the issue completely, or worse, they are themselves neoliberals in their economic philosophy.

It is reductive to the point of being misleading to present the crisis in Egypt as a struggle merely against the Coup, and a struggle for “democratic legitimacy”. Indeed, it is reductive to present the crisis as anything but an independence struggle against foreign domination.

You have to begin to identify the controlling figures and entities of corporate power, and map the systems and networks they use to secure their interests. And you have to develop both real and contingency plans for how you can target these systems for disruption.
