They are waiting to see if anyone is going to actually go after them.
What is happening in Egypt isn’t new.
It’s new to Egypt, but it is not new to the multinationals. They did it before throughout Latin America for decades. They finally got kicked out once people realized what was really going on, targeted them, opposed neoliberalism, and addressed the disproportionate control of private power.
That’s when they started to get governments that listened to the population. And once they targeted the multinationals, liberation came rapidly.
