There is no such thing as top-down grassroots organizing. Forming a party or group, issuing manifestos and strategy statements and so on; this is not the real work of system change, even if the ideas you represent are appealing and people agree with you.
Revolution does not happen this way. It can only happen with extensive outreach and networking among the population; listening to them, sharing their living conditions, teaching them, training them and empowering them with tactics to fight for their rights and for their futures. Yes, overthrow of a regime can happen spontaneously, but that is not the same as revolution; as I think we have all realized at this point.
