The State has perhaps the most prominent role in the use of force against the population, and this makes it the obvious target for revolutionaries.
The tools of State violence, however, are mibilized by and for international capital; investors, shareholders, etc.; in fact this has become the primary function of the State within the corporate imperial system.
An uprising against the State alone will not achieve any meaningful political or economic change, because the State is no longer the seat of power.
