If it is important to work for the cancellation of the Economic Summit in March, it would serve this goal to carry out a series of tactical, small-scale disruptions against multinationals in these days, while publicly articulating a shift in revolutionary focus towards targeting foreign investors.
Such a two-pronged strategy could potentially be enough to prompt businesses to withdraw from the Summit.
It is not difficult to imagine a scenario for this.
Unilever, Siemens Nokia, Dorritos, General Motors and Suzuki are all in the same area in 6th of October City, Industrial zone 4.
At least the first three of these companies will likely depend heavily on regular transport in and out of their facilities. Obviously, that will be the case for many of the companies located in other parts of 6th of October City; like, for instance Golden State Foods (GSF), a California-based food company that supplies Mcdonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and many others.
Any deliberately created traffic jam, perhaps near the industrial zone access points on Ring Road would not only disrupt their operations, but also send a message to these companies that they can be easily targeted.
If caltrops were scattered, for instance, 1 km before and 1 km after the access points at normal delivery times (if that could be determined), it could potentially cause costly delays and create insecurity in the logistical supply chain of these companies.
Of course, is such actions were done frequently, the impact would be greater; but at this point, even one such action would be enough to deliver the message to multinationals that they have become targets.
