While there is no question that derailing the Economic Summit in March will be a serious blow to the stability of the Coup, and it could potentially convince Sis’s international business masters that he is not the right man to manage the implementation of heir program in Egypt; bear in mind that the removal of Sisi is not what will restore economic sovereignty and political independence to Egypt.
The problem is not who is selling the country to foreign investors, the problem is the sale itself. If there had been no Coup, a summit exactly like this would probably have been organized 2 years ago by the Mursi government and Qatar.
The most important thing about derailing the Summit is not that it may help get rid of Sisi, but that it lays the foundation for liberating Egypt from corporate imperialism. It will establish direct confrontation with the multinationals and foreign investors, and initiate a mechanism for regulating their influence over whatever government Egypt may eventually have after Sisi.
