It is an oddity of indoctrination in society that if a man points a gun at you, you understand that he is a criminal who is threatening your security; but when the army points their guns at you, you can believe they are protecting your security against criminals.
No! The new deployment of the military across Egypt is clearly a measure in preparation for the Summit, and a measure taken to avert any more disruption of corporate imperial targets.
This is a show of force to assure investors, and reiterate to them that the Egyptian army is ready and willing to occupy the country for the sake of their foreign owners. At the same time, it is provocation, to shift the focus of the rebels, to draw them into confrontation with the army. They want to guarantee that you will only fight them in ways they are prepared to fight you.
This is actually an opportunity to prove to foreign investors and multinationals that the Coup cannot secure their capital. When the army makes such an effort to prove its strength, if disruption of corporate targets continues anyway, the show of force will become a show of weakness.
