One of the most serious vulnerabilities of any power structure (and it is very much the case with the imperial corporate power structure), is the concentration of power and control among a small group of people.
Not only is this a vulnerability because it makes it much easier to destabilize the structure by targeting those in power (or their interests), but also because those in power will tend to make decisions which benefit themselves, even if those decisions do not benefit all those under their control.
This is a vulnerability in any social movement as well, for much the same reasons.
The strategy of Open Source Revolution solves this problem. There is no concentration of control. This makes it impossible for a regime to decapitate the movement, and it also ensures that those making tactical decisions will base those decisions on actual effectiveness and benefit for the movement as a whole, rather than for any select group of leaders.
The leaders are themselves the ones taking the risks, and working on the ground, measuring the results of their actions, and adapting their tactics based on actual experience.
Open Source Revolution is a strategy without a leader. Strategy without hierarchy. This makes it not only a threat to the regime, but also to anyone who seeks a position of leadership within the revolution.
Because neither of these groups can cure itself from the mentality of identifiable leaders, they will respond to the Open Source strategy by assigning leaders to it. They will hope that by imposing a fake hierarchy on Open Source Revolution, they can destroy it by destroying the “leaders” they invent. Just as the regime’s media has invented the fiction that I am a leader, and is trying to destroy me.
Every day I am informed about new attempts to malign me personally; from slanderous messages to suggestions that I am an agent of one or another intelligence agency, and I expect that such attacks will continue and intensify.
For me, this only demonstrates the extent to which the Open Source strategy is having an impact. The more impact it has, the more I expect such attacks. The risks and dangers and sacrifices of the rebels on the ground are much greater than this, and if it requires my own personal destruction to prove that this strategy cannot be defeated by destroying any single individual, Al-Hamdulillah.
