Do not underestimate the impact of negative publicity on a company’s share price. It has been proven countless times that when a company is accused of socially irresponsible conduct, it’s share value drops significantly, and when it rectifies the conduct, share values increase.
Adidas’ share price dropped 10% when it was publicly connected to forced labor practices in China. The compnay IHC Caland (now SBM Offshore) saw a 20% drop in share values when the company signed contracts with the military junta in Burma.
You can help sink share values by shaming the investors and multinationals who are partnering with the Coup; connect them to the atrocities of the Sisi regime, to the overthrow of a democratically-elected government; to the largest mass death sentence in history; to the massacres of peaceful demonstrators; to the brutal crackdown on dissent; and so on…
