From a strictly strategic point of view, violence is counter-revolutionary.

If you do not have disruption without bloodshed, you will have only bloodshed without disruption, because violence strengthens the Coup, it does not weaken it.

The wounding and killing of innocents horrifies and angers the population (as it should), and nullifies any sympathy the people may have for the revolutionary movement. Furthermore, it supplies the Coup with a rationale for intensifying their crackdown on dissent and imposing even harsher security measures. And you should know that the more the regime can highlight its capability to repress the population, the more this boosts investor confidence, and earns support for Sisi
