As I have written before, genuine revolution does not occur under the sponsorship of the elite. The rich do not financially support the overthrow of the system from which they are benefiting.
Parties and groups may be sponsored by those who are business rivals with the regime, for instance. They may be sponsored by rich individuals who view their financing as a type of investment, expecting a profitable return, favorable contracts, and so on, once the revolution succeeds; or they may be seeking to attain political positions themselves.
Funding for revolutionary activities from foreign individuals and entities is almost always tied to an agenda, and this agenda is usually against the real aims of the revolution.
All of this means that rebels need their financial support from the people.themselves. This is the only way to protect the integrity of the movement.
Open Source Revolution must be open source funded. Not everyone is able to engage in confrontational actions against the power structure, but perhaps you can support rebels financially, even if it is a little.
They will have basic expenses, transportation costs, tools, equipment, perhaps medicine, etc. It would be a shame if there are youth who are ready and willing to take risks and confront oppression, but can’t afford to put enough petrol in their cars to reach the target. Or if they cannot afford the tools they need which will enable them to carry out actions safely.
I am not encouraging you to donate to any particular group or people, but if you know revolutionary activists, or know anyone who knows them, then you can assume that they need financial support, and you should try to help. Please.
