Rasulullah ﷺ said that the strong Believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak one, though there is good in both. Shaykh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah stated that the “strength” referred to in this hadith is, in fact physical strength.
On this subject I would like to clarify that there is a significant difference between “gym strength” and practical strength.
To build the kind of strength you need in conflict scenarios, in confrontations, and so on, you need to build many different types of strength, in every part of your body, simultaneously; because in a fight or confrontation, you will be using all those strengths simultaneously.
I will post examples of some of the best basic exercises you can do to help improve overall “conflict fitness”, exercises that do not require a gym, nor equipment, and you can do them anywhere.
These exercises will build your strength, coordination, speed, agility, power, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health, and help you get into “confrontation condition” insha’Allah
