There are many simple, straightforward, and relatively safe actions that can be taken to undermine the regime, and shift the trajectory of the revolution towards the independence struggle it needs to be; easy confrontational actions which will bring the revolution to the door of the corporate imperialists.
Replacing broken windows, depending on the size and quality, can cost thousands of dollars, and take several hours of repair work. If done repeatedly, this simple action can negatively impact any company’s profits by tens of thousands of dollars, it can disrupt a company’s operations, reputation, and its sense of safety.
Regarding this type of action, police say: “It’s a quick action. It could be a rock thrown. Someone could flee fairly quickly, so the odds of someone being in the area still when the officers get there is pretty slim”, indicating that capture is unlikely.
Covering over graffiti can also be expensive and time consuming. If the graffiti is in a conspicuous location, and particularly in Egypt, if it is provocatively anti-Coup, any company will have no choice but to remove or paint over it. This incurs cost, a degree of disruption, and can create a feeling that the company is being targeted, which has a ripple effect throughout the entire corporate ownership chain, all the way up to the shareholders.
