In kufr based capitalism, profit is pursued primarily for accumulation. Of course, this causes ever-increasing income disparity in society as smaller numbers of people amass greater ownership of wealth.
In Islam, profit is pusued essentially for redistribution; spending in Allah’s Cause; to benefit the society and accumulate reward in the Akhirah. This keeps wealth in a state of continuous circulation; inoculating the society against extreme disparity.
The rich are supposed to be rivers, not dams to the flow of wealth. Conduits of capital, not containers.
