The beginning of revolution against the power structure is the renunciation of everything they can take from you.
You begin to disarm power by eliminating your own vulnerabilities.
They know that it is impossible to defeat those who do not fear death, so they try to instill that fear in you by making you love the Dunya. They try to attach your heart to this life, and increase your craving for it.
“…يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ ۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا …”
“…he holds out promises to them, and fills them with vain desires: yet whatever Satan promises them is but meant to delude the mind…”
Renounce wants and desires.
Without the renunciation of wants and desires, you will always be vulnerable to the domination of those who can gratify them.
