At least two major airlines, Lufthansa and Air France, have said they will not fly over Sinai until the cause of the Russian passenger jet crash is determined.
This is not standard procedure after a plane crash. It is a reaction to the almost certainly false claim of responsibility by the Daesh branch in Sinai for downing the jet.
This, not the crash itself, indicates the disruptive power of ambiguity, and the sensitivity of corporations to the perception of danger. If they even think they may be targeted, they modify their operations.
