There may be nothing more debilitating to mobilization than the …

Posted on November 7, 2015 by Shahid Bolsen

There may be nothing more debilitating to mobilization than the almost mystical belief in the need for a leader. Holding back from action to wait for some great virtuous figure to arise and unify the people and lead them to victory. I advise you to discard this idea.

Centralized leadership; a leader who organizes and coordinates all actions; is extremely impractical. Let your goal be your leader. We are living in an era with no unifying imaam, so don’t wait for one. There is no need for an emir beyond the emir of a particular revolutionary team, even if that team consists of only two people; indeed, even if you are a team all by yourself.

Only the goal and the strategic concept needs to be unified; tactics and operations can be, and should be, diverse and multiple, with independent decision-making capacities.

Gather your close friends and brothers, decide upon a mission, and act.

Say, there are five of you, or four, or three; agree, for instance, to disable all the CCTV cameras in a particular part of the city; assign each member a task, and carry it out. Agree to destroy major billboards; agree to disrupt traffic; agree to destroy the power generators or fuse boxes of a commercial warehouse or distribution center; or even to simply bombard a corporate headquarters with emails and faxes. Whatever the case may be, you do not need a supreme leader to order you or to assign you a mission.

Adopt a de-centralized model, follow the path of Open Source Revolution, emulate Abu Baseer and Abu Jandal; organize yourselves and take action.
