An intense, effective, but essentially nonviolent tactic used during the early labor movement struggles in the US to prevent companies from hiring non-union workers was to abduct “scab” employees (people hired to replace unionized workers),, blindfold them, drive them around for a few hours and then drop them off in a remote area. They were not physically harmed, but the action was extremely intimidating, and the workers would almost always quit the company.

This tactic is highly disruptive and costly for a company. It would become difficult to find anyone willing to work for them. The company would have to increase salaries, their insurance rates would go up, and they would have to implement security procedures that were not only expensive, but that also hindered efficiency and productivity.
