Several years ago I warned an Emirati Islamist about the growing power of the UAE as an instrument of Western domination, and said that it should be a priority to disrupt their economic position before they became more dangerous, and more difficult to confront.
Unfortunately, this advice was not put into action. Today, the UAE exerts tremendous influence, even in the West. It is still a relatively straightforward proposition to destabilize their economy, particularly Dubai. Such a project would be of enormous benefit to the Ummah, particularly in Egypt and the North African region. It is very strange to me that this country seems never to be targeted, while it is both highly strategic to do so, and not especially difficult.
I know from my own personal experience that their intelligence services are not particularly competent and that the slightest perceived threat to their economic stability immediately causes them to panic.
They believed that my case was actually some sort of terrorist plot, and created an entire dedicated unit to pursue and investigate me with coordination by US intelligence. All of that because of the unintentional death of a German manager at a multinational company. This overreaction does not indicate their efficiency and vigilance, but rather their complete ineptitude and fear.
