These kinds of groups are forming in many places. In my opinion, they are merely devices for the authorities to draw out anyone whom they can categorize as extremist. They exist so that you will condemn them and argue with them, thereby allowing the authorities to both identify you individually as a potential “extremist” and to gauge the pervasiveness of what they regard as “extremist” beliefs among the Muslim community.
