If you have been detained in the past, or if you have been identified as anti-Coup, I strongly advise you, if possible, to not sleep in your home. If you have anywhere else to stay, please do so.
The least of what you should do in the upcoming weeks to protect yourself , is to change your routine. Take different routes than you normally take;break your habits, eliminate predictable behavior, as much as you can.
It appears that the regime has sent out thugs to monitor and harass individuals suspected of revolutionary activity; brothers have told me about ambush attempts on the street in broad daylight.
Increase your level of situational awareness. Nevver wear headphones when you are in the street. Try to make sure your hands are free. If you wear a backpack, wear the straps on both shoulders, if you carry a bag with one strap, make sure it is across your body, not hung off one shoulder. Look around you at all times. If possible, have a friend with you when you are outside. Try to avoid going to places you normally go.
I know that some brothers and sisters are still going about in the streets listening to headphones, and paying no attention to their surroundings, not expecting to be targeted…but you MUST anticipate this.
The regime takes the revolution very seriously, don’t let them take it more seriously than you do. May Allah protect you all.
