The truth is that Western society is deeply male chauvinistic. Nothing reveals this more perfectly than the very nature of the Western feminist movement which, unknowingly no doubt, affirms the profoundly male-supremacist notion that men’s role in society is more important than women’s role in society. This idea is at the core of their call for “equality”…they want to be able to take on the traditional roles of men because they accept the notion that those roles are better and more meaningful than the traditional roles of women.
They are affirming the belief that women’s roles are inferior to men’s roles, and therefore want to have access to adopt those roles. Western feminism, in other words, is one of the most male chauvinistic concepts around.
Furthermore, they are assigning value and importance and prestige to specific traditional male roles more than others; they want more female CEOs, but not necessarily more female garbage collectors. There should be more women in government, more female doctors and surgeons, but it is not equally important for them to have more women working in building construction or plumbing or paving roads, or working as bodyguards. This is because they fully conform to the false attribution of importance to some jobs more than others.
They call for a form of equality which implicitly defines women’s roles as inferior; what an odd concept of equality it is!
