ideally, all hot-headed young people inflated with a sense of self-righteousness, and emboldened with the idea that they are serving a greater cause which makes them feel entitled to jeopardize the peace and security of the masses, would take a lesson from what happened here last night. What they have accomplished is the ruin of their own lives.
No doubt they were manipulated and misled; they are young and naive and impressionable and ambitious; and they are intoxicated by their delusion of strength, and their sense of virility is augmented by the weapons they carry; but if your cause does not include the general public welfare, then it necessarily collides with it, and the result will either be a catastrophe for the general public, or a catastrophe for you.
Al-Hamdulillah that the catastrophe resulting from last night’s unrest has been restricted only to those who perpetrated it.
