Just consider the maturity, the sobriety, the integrity of a people who will rush out into the streets at a moment’s notice, in the middle of the night, to defend the government even though many of them do not support Tayyip!
Another people would have said, “good! I don’t like AKP anyway! Let the military take over!” and they would have sacrificed the whole democratic system of Turkey for the sake of their personal dislike for Erdogan.
But the Turks recognized the coup attempt was a usurpation of the national will itself, and they would not allow it.
