In prison I learned a technique for breaking open ankle shackles; but it requires having explosive strength in your legs. You move the shackles as far as you can up your legs, if possible, tuck your trousers inside the shackles, tighten them if you can, and then with a quick, forceful burst, jerk your legs apart. Normally at least one of the shackles will open, sometimes both.
You have to maneuver the shackles into a position that gives your legs more leverage, and you have to have enough strength in your legs to jerk them open quickly and powerfully. It amplifies the pressure on the locking mechanism when you make the shackles as tight as possible, and this makes it easier to break open.
For those who say that using the power of multinationals to force governments to change policies is a form of “improving the conditions of slavery”, I would suggest you look at this technique for opening shackles. Does using the power of companies against the government leave corporate power intact? Yes, but it also gives you power, and gives you the opportunity to increase your power; something that cannot happen until you confront the multinationals. Breaking open the shackles does not liberate you from prison, but it makes escape a much more feasible possibility.
Just as the technique from breaking free from the chains utilizes the internal mechanism of the shackles themselves, so too, disruption of corporate interests utilizes the internal dynamics of the power structure against itself.
If, by this strategy, you are able to achieve a better, more responsive government, you will have acquired a vital instrument for pursuing your ultimate escape from corporate domination.
