I am not really worried about the policies of a Trump presidency. His outlandish campaign promises cannot be taken any more seriously than anyone else’s campaign promises. Even if he sincerely wanted to, he will not be able to achieve any of the things he is talking about; and I doubt that he even sincerely wants to.
The office of the presidency was designed by the founders of the country to be a very weak position in the government, because they feared monarchical-style dictatorship. The president has the least amount of power between the three branches of government.
What is worrisome about Trump is that he incites and promotes a savage atmosphere of hate and stupidity.A Trump presidency will have a tremendously negative impact on the cultural and intellectual life in the United States, it will sink public discourse into a filthy abyss, and encourage an even greater level of irrationality and pure idiocy in the population
