It is worth mentioning that almost all of the highest ranked air forces in the world are armed and equipped by American aerospace and defense companies. That means that, like the global economy, the air forces of every major country on earth are inextricably and dependently connected to the United States. The aircraft and weaponry they possess is determined by America, and all sales must be approved by the US congress. Therefore, in fact, the United States largely controls the extent of any other country’s capacity for aerial warfare.
To give you a better idea of America’s military reach globally; Britain, France and Russia combined have only about 30 military bases around the world; the United States has nearly 800 in over 70 countries. That constitutes an unprecedented and unparalleled military presence.
Through its armed forces, the United States maintains an inescapable grip on this planet. And again, you have to understand the function; it is for the purpose of securing and preserving American access to and control of resources (natural resources, human resources, and markets) that are deemed vital to US national interests..
