The United States is, for largely economic reasons, heading for a social crisis. The enormous tensions being created in American society, without an articulated focus on the systemic causes of these tensions, will likely result in deep and widespread conflict between different segments of the population; directed at every segment of the population, that is, except for the elite segment. And this disorder will itself keep the polarizing system intact for some time to come.
