You have to be grounded enough in your religion to recognize that not every conflict is a religious conflict, and to understand that this fact does not in any way negate the reality of an overall, permanent conflict between Iman and Kufr.
Ever-present religious animosity can be incidental to a conflict,but not the driver of it.
For example, a slum lord may be a racist, but he is not a slumlord BECAUSE he is racist. He does not overcharge you for a dilapidated apartment because of your ethnicity; he does it to everyone.
A thief may hate you, but he robs you because he is a thief and you have something he wants to steal; the fact that he hates you is not what motivates him. He robs everyone.
What is being done to our countries is not being done ONLY to our countries. it is being done everywhere.
