There is an extremely destructive and very confused trend I frequently notice from some segments of our community which directly or indirectly accuses those who commit sins of being Munafiqeen. Y’all really need to stop.
The hypocrite is someone standing next to you in Salah, with the big beard and the short trousers, who doesn’t actually believe in any of it, but looks like he does, so you THINK he is righteous. That’s Nifaq, it is hidden; and that’s why Munafiqeen are so dangerous.
Your brothers and sisters who commit sins habitually, are oppressing themselves, the weakness of their Imaan is displayed openly, but it doesn’t mean they DON’T believe; they simply have not been able to unify their actions with their beliefs as successfully as one would hope.
But then, who has?
