It seems to me that the wisest course of action for the neoliberal management of Egypt would be for civilian rule to return (probably under Gamal Mubarak), for most, if not all, political prisoners to be released, for the ban on the Muslim Brotherhood to be lifted, and for the government to give parliamentary seats to the Ikhwan, in which capacity they would rubberstamp the IMF-dictated policies put forward by Mubarak; in a similar way as is currently the case in Morocco.

Such steps would effectively neutralize Islamist opposition, as the MB would instruct their members to cooperate with the regime. The new government could announce investigations into the crimes of the Sisi regime, which would appease public anger to some degree, even though the exoneration from all wrongdoing would be a foregone conclusion.

I don’t know if this is what they will do, of course, but this would be the most sensible approach to stabilize the process of Egypt’s subjugation.
