If the liberation of Egypt could come by means of the strategies I advocate, there are literally those among the “Islamists” who would rather it be enslaved. It is more important to them to, as they see it, to ‘prove Shahid wrong’ than to see the strategies succeed.
Brothers, take me out of the equation. Just use common sense, learn from history, objectively analyze the power dynamics in the world today; I personally have nothing to do with it. It is not a matter of ME being right or wrong; it is a matter of dealing with actual reality.
I am not saying anything that is not common knowledge almost everywhere in the world except the Arab world.
The reality of the global wealth gap speaks for itself.
A tiny, super-rich minority of the world population has monopolised wealth and power beyond anything the world has ever seen.
They operate through institutions like the IMF, the World Bank, and through the multinational corporations they own; to impose an unprecedented level of domination and exploitation.
Their combined wealth and power far exceeds that of the states in which they “invest”. They control the US through their influence over the legislature, and have thus subordinated the world’s only super power to their own private interests.
They are motivated by profit, and oppose anything, any belief, and any movement, which interferes with profit.
Anywhere that they have been successfully fought, they have been fought through economic means and by means of popular, democratic movements.
It is not complicated. If they cannot profit by what they are doing, they will not do it. If you target their profitability, you will earn their attention; if you do not, you do not exist on their radar.
Our struggle must be to impose consequences on the real existing power structure, and that means the private sector. That means foreign investors, and that means multinational corporations.
