If a plane crashes somewhere, there are those who would swear that it was caused, without doubt, by the Rothschilds or the Illuminati; or declare that it was the work of Da’esh, or say that it was part of a complex conspiracy by American and Zionist Intelligence agencies.
But when an anonymous campaign is launched to threaten and warn multinationals and the IMF against approving the $12 billion loan to Egypt, and the state media suddenly reacts, the IMF delays the loan decision, the Ministry of Finance hurriedly hires graduates to open fake accounts on Facebook to argue in favor of the loan and neoliberal polices, and the American and Canadian Embassies warn citizens about security concerns specifically on the day the loan decision was scheduled to be issued…these people say, “well, there could be any number of explanations…”
That is willful obliviousness. Hammer a nail into a board, and they will say, “possibly the board sucked the nail in, we can’t prove that it was because of the hammer.”
