You will not find many, if anyone, among the Islamist parties who support the strategy of Open Source Revolution and targeting of multinationals and foreign investors.
They have been conspicuously silent concerning the IMF loan; said and did nothing prior to its expected approval; and have nothing to say now that the people acted independently to block it.
They are either businessmen themselves, or rely on the financial support of businessmen who have direct investment in the economic status quo.
Open Source Revolution erases the hierarchies they need in order to maintain their positions as “leaders”. They are, generally, not in favor of overthrowing the system, but only interested in improving their position within the system.
The parties and individuals financed by wealthy Gulf sponsors like to promote armed resistance and initiating a Syria-like scenario in Egypt, because it is in their personal interests to do so, for a variety of reasons.
Their clients are mouthpieces for chaos-promotion masquerading as mujahideen; offering no concrete plans or strategies, but only demagoguery and fiery rhetoric to incite people into violent confrontation with the security forces.
They manipulate the peoples’ imaan with quasi-religious slogans and empty tough talk about vengeance and jihad and martyrdom, while sitting comfortably in the luxury flats provided by their sponsors.
The businessmen among them have their own motives for hating the idea of imposing accountability on corporations; and that should be obvious.
The majority of our people are hungry and poor and exploited; no revolution led by the fat, rich and privileged can be reasonably expected to benefit the population.
You are the ones who will suffer the consequences of Egypt’s enslavement, and you must be the ones to oppose it.
If you want to overthrow the system, you will have to do it yourselves.
