Trump criticized the US war in Iraq, and the toppling of Saddam Hussein, because it gave Iran power and influence over Iraq. Meanwhile, he supports keeping Assad in power in Syria, and ending the insurgency; which will only extend Iran’s regional influence even more. Perhaps if he attended security briefings and stopped tweeting for a few minutes, he could learn that.
