Corporations are political entities, and we need to begin dealing with them as such. Not only do they dominate policymaking, literally writing laws to be rubberstamped by legislatures, but even if you do not comprehend this fact, or regard it mistakenly as a conspiracy theory; the fact remains that they invest in countries, support governments, where human rights abuses are rampant, where freedoms are denied, where repression is standard.
They do business in places where abuses occur that are illegal in the countries where they are headquartered and incorporated; yet they are allowed to profit through their dealings with tyrannical governments. This makes them accomplices to the abuse, indeed, enablers of it. They should be held accountable like any other political entity.
