Try to discipline your responses. When you get angry about Syria, or repression in Egypt, or anywhere else…We both know that the reflex reaction is to take up arms, fight get revenge, etc. OK. That reaction informs you that you care; that you have a sense of justice, that you feel the drive internally to change the situation. But that is all it is. Recognize that it is an emotional response, not an intellectual conclusion. So don’t stop there. Take that feeling, and use it as an engine for your analysis and deliberation, to explore realistic options for improving the situation; for strategies that may actually work, without making things worse
