When Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) said that if you could not charge an evil by your hand you should speak out against it, that was both. . a prohibition against futile tactics and a command to accurately assess your capabilities so that you adopt tactics within your capacity. And if you find that the evil cannot be changed by either action or speech, then you are ordered to hate it.
Today, however, we tend to ignore this. And if we cannot change the evil by our hands, we think we are supposed to just keep trying anyway. But that is not what we were taught.
