Governments are just like people, in my opinion; a person can be sinful and violate the Shari’ah, and still be Muslim, and you have to advise him, oppose him in what he does wrong, and try to make him better. Governments can have flaws in their implementation and their compliance with Shari’ah and still be Islamic; you have to criticize and reform them, oppose them in what they do wrong, and try to make them better.
As with people, and as it is with our own selves, so it is also the same with governments, it is an ongoing and endless process.
