The #Rohingyas in Myanmar are suffering unimaginable brutality. Women being gang-raped, children’s throats slit, the heads of infants crushed under soldier’s boots, families burned to death in their homes. No matter where you are, and no matter what oppression you are enduring; it would seem like paradise for the Rohingyas. The savagery of the Buddhist monks and the Myanmar army is setting a dangerous new precedent in anti-Muslim violence, and our silence about it is setting an even more dangerous precedent.
