The #WeAreAllRohingyasNow campaign is being undertaken by several activists who have been involved in the issue for many years, I am not directing it; only participating and contributing ideas on strategy.
Nevertheless, the Open Source Revolution concept always applies…we have one objective, one strategic theory, but many tactics, and the freedom to undertake action independently.
In my opinion, what we need to do now, to follow up on Paul Polman’s reply to our letter, is to push Unilever to make a public statement calling for an end to all forms of state repression, discrimination, and violence; and to express specific concern about the #RohingyaGenocide in #Rakhine state…and they should use the word “Rohingyas” because the Myanmar government has forbidden mentioning this word.
Please send messages on Twitter to @PaulPolman, and to these two important Unilever Board Members:
@MarcelaManubens
@YoungmeMoon
@LouiseOFresco
And urge them to get Unilever to issue a public statement
