Just a word or two about “victim blaming”…
Victimisation isn’t a golden ticket, it isn’t a “get out of accountability” card. And victimisation certainly does not instantly anoint you into sainthood. If you have been victimised by some sort of crime or injustice undeservedly disproportionate to whatever wrong decisions you may have made that facilitated it happening; I am sorry for you about what happened. Holding you accountable for your own errors, however, is not the same as saying you deserved to be victimised.
