Something occurred to me…
We might have first started to undermine marriage when we started to think that men should have a feminine side and women a masculine side in order to be whole people.
Hawwa was extracted from Adam. The feminine was removed. And what made them whole was their union.
The balance between masculine and feminine is not internal but supposed to exist in the union of a man and a woman.
There’s nothing wrong with a man being exclusively masculine or a woman being exclusively feminine… What’s wrong is for them to not be together. Their togetherness, their partnership, is how balance is struck.
